[edit] template

i made a news template then scrapped it because the edit link inside it was messed up. if you guys dont care, edit the main page and uncomment it

Yeah, I was trying to do that, too but couldn't get it to work well.

--Crimson 04:15, 2 November 2005 (CST)
OK, this is as close as I can get it. Hope it works.

yup, that's basicly what I had before i messed it up. Guess it stays this way until someone can figure out how to remove the edit link and add a custom one --Kopaka649 21:30, 2 November 2005 (CST)

[edit] Images

Someone should add an optional thumbail image (ie max size 150x150 or something) to the template, so news can be posted with images. That image should link to a big version. Any takers? I don't understand enough of this to make it happen..

I'm going to install the latest version of MediaWiki, and if that doesn't fix this problem I'll report it as a bug.

nope, I don't think it's a big if you read [the documentation]. Maybe you should request it as a feature. --Kopaka649 17:52, 3 November 2005 (CST)

Looks good, but can you add that it links to an external page, if wanted?

[edit] Sidebar

Sidebar link to this page? --Kopaka649 18:14, 3 November 2005 (CST)

just wondering, is there any difference between <br> and <br/>?

Yes, the latter form of HTML's line break tag is considered more compliant to the XML standard, which is important if you want XHTML compliance. T-Bird
