[edit] Introduction
The Repair Pad is the Global Defense Initiative and Brotherhood of Nod's response to an ever increasing presence of enemy anti-vehicle weaponry.
[edit] Building Functions
The Repair Pad serves the purpose of repairing any friendly vehicle positioned on it. It is also capable of repairing multiple vehicles at once, which can be useful in some situations.
This structure repairs at a rate of 10 Health per second, which is faster than a standard engineer but slower than a Hotwire or Technician.
It is also one of the few non-standard buildings which must be destroyed for a map to end.
[edit] Structural design
The design of the Repair Pad is very simple. It is a six sided object with 3 sides darker then the others. The center contains the symbol of the team to which it belongs.
The Repair Pad also has a different design which is exclusive to certain fan made maps. The Repair Pad also has a different design which is exclusive to certain fan made maps.

[edit] Defending and Attacking
[edit] Defending
The Repair Pad is most likely to be the last structure alive on a map due to the difficulty involved in destroying it.
It is perhaps the most difficult structure to defend. It must be repaired from the exterior which makes engineers vulnerable to enemy fire.
Perhaps the best and easiest way to solve this problem is to place a tank on the Repair Pad and have it attack anything that moves in range. GDI can do this with either a Medium Tank or a Mammoth Tank while Nod should stick with a Light Tank or even a Mobile Artillery if circumstances permit. This will this make it extremely difficult to hit the structure and the tank will be repaired as soon as it takes damage, making it much more difficult to destroy. Placing engineers behind the tank will not only by allow repairs to the tank and structure but will give the engineers a good source of cover.
[edit] Attacking
Attacking the Repair Pad can be extremely difficult depending on how the enemy has defended it. A small group of tanks can take out the structure easily if no one is able to defend it. Ion Cannon or Nuclear Strike beacons are an effective alternative if tanks are unavailable.
If the enemy has placed a tank on the Repair Pad to defend it, you will have to destroy the tank before attacking. A good sized force of tanks or a small army of anti-tank infantry work well for this.
