Flamethrower
Flamethrowers' armor takes only 50% damage from C4-type weapons, with their health taking 75%. This makes Flamethrowers better choices to jump on proximity mines than other characters since they'll be able to take out one or two more depending on how you hit the mines, and they'll also last a bit longer against C4-tossing Engineers and Hotwires than other units will.
Additionally, Flamethrowers only seem to take 66.6% damage from explosive warhead weapons such as Rocket Launcher rockets or tank shells.

* No, this isn't a typo, you get NO POINTS for damaging a Nod Rocket Officer. It should be 0.050 like the GDI counterpart.
Chem Warrior
Like the Flamethrower, the Chemwarrior's armor takes half as much damage from explosive warheads, with their health taking 75%. This gives Chemwarriors a slight advantage when jumping on proximity mines since they'll be able to take out one or two more depending on how you hit the mines, and they'll also last a bit longer against C4-tossing Engineers and Hotwires than other units will.
Additionally, Chem Warriors seem to take so little damage against Tiberium Bullets(from the Tiberium Auto-Rifle) and Tiberium Shrapnel(from the Tiberium Flechette Gun) that it's not even worth it to fire at them with such weapons. Oddly, the Chem Sprayer weapon still works against them, but as one would guess, not quite as well as other weapons.

Technician
* The Technician can repair things roughly twice as fast as any given Engineer due to his proficiency with the Repair Gun.
** The Technician carries only 5 proximity C4 to begin with, but can carry 6 once refilled.
EXTRAS Characters
To access EXTRAS, press F8 in-game to access the console, then type "EXTRAS". You should get the message "EXTRAS Enabled!". After that, activate a Purchase Terminal, hold Alt, then click either Characters or Vehicles to access the EXTRAS stuff. EXTRAS mode cannot be activated in laddered games.
