[edit] Introduction
The Humvee, a very useful yet underestimated tank of the GDI... Why do people use it? Very simple, it's rather cheap, but still has some armor! It is very good at killing infantry and doesn't have a problem at destroying an enemy buggy nor at taking down some armor of the Nod Light Tank.
[edit] Humvee's uses
Humvee
The Humvee in most cases, is used as first attack or defend vehicle. Because it is cheap and fast people will buy it until it is destroyed after that they move to another kind of vehicle. Rushes are also very known to be done with this vehicle. It is faster then an APC, but still has enough armor to get to it's destination.
Humvee are also used to bring down the harvester. Because of the bullets it gives a huge score to whoever is shooting!

Cheapest of all the GDI vehicles... Is worth it's money if handled with care.
- Weapon: Machine Gun
Medium range, uses bullets 100 per clip. Infinite ammo though.
- seats: 2
- Health: 150
Armour: 150
Very handy that extra passenger! Especially if it is an engineer or a hotwire.
[edit] Strength
The strength of the Hummer isn't it's firepower, but speed! There are a few good and some very good things about the Humvee some which people don't even recognize or use!
- It's very fast being able to avoid some shells!
- The Machine Gun is perfect for killing of infantry and getting score!
- It is a very small vehicle, so it can squish trough small holes and is very agile when it comes to turning 180°.
- Great rush tank
- A great, early-in game vehicle when you need to cut down infantry and harass that Nod Harvester for points.
[edit] Weaknesses
But of course, every vehicle has it's weak spots. The Humvee might be fast but it's attack power vs other vehicles is low, and it's armor is also on he low side making it an easy target for a small group of soldiers to kill it without suffering to much casualties.
- Lowest armor of the GDI vehicles
- Can't turn without going forward or backward.
- Weak attack vs other vehicles
- Weak vs snipers (especially Sakura)
[edit] Humvee vs base defenses
A Humvee can be destroyed by 1 hit of the Obelisk, but a good driver knows that an Obelisk needs to see the tank before it can hit it! And because the Humvee is small, agile and fast it can get behind a building rather fast.(Pictures will be up soon!)
On the map City / City_Flying a Humvee can if driven by a good person, reach ANY building the driver wants. Be it the PP,Ref,AS,HON,OB all of them can be targeted. And if your fellow passenger is a Hotwire, well let's say that Nod will have a problem or 2!
Of course one needs to know that the Humvee can only get there if there aren't to much defenders around.
[edit] Humvee against other Vehicles
As said before, the Humvee can only take down the Harvester and the buggie, perhaps a light tank or artie. Any other tank and the Humvee will be killed! Make a note that the Humvee itself was supposed to be reckon unit for the GDI, not a vehicle which you can sit in the middle of a fire fight!
[edit] Humvee rushes
Some players like to use a Humvee to rush the enemy base early one! This is very handy in most cases, cause Nod itself will also try a rush, and if a Humvee meets the Nod Buggie, well we know how that will end!
A good Humvee rush can make the difference sometimes of winning and loosing! It also quite normal that some would say "hey let's do a Humvee rush now that they don't have money"... Do note that if a Humvee rush encounters a stronger tank, that they will be destroyed if they don't avoid the other tank early on.
[edit] Used strategies
The Humvee is also a good partner in combo with sniper units! A sniper is able to move around the map en set up sniping posts rather easy! Tough if one wishes to use the Humvee for a longer period of time, remember to set up a sniper spot where one can hide it's vehicle.
[edit] Overal conclusion
The Humvee tough having it flaws is a great tank to use. If mastered one can even give the enemy a headache and with luck you'd get a flew curses towards your head in which case you mastered the Humvee perfectly. Drive safe now.
